I first began with Pomeranians in 1979.
My first pom was a cream male.
He was one of the smartest poms I have ever
owned. His name was Wee Captain of Little Hearts,
which led to our kennel name—Wee
Hearts. Captain lived to be 17 years old.
I met my mentor, Marlene
Scott Halsey,
after I had been breeding for several years
(without much success).
The dogs were cute, just not what I wanted.
She introduced me to some of the greatest poms, the Great Elms line.
I combined this with Scotia lines; many
champions followed.
I was able to purchase two more champions
that had a significant impact in my lines.
